Exciting Moments

## INSERT EXCERPT ##

top-100-food-blogs-2012

Sometimes, when I want to give it all up in despair – the long hours, the one-woman show, the stress of self-employment while parenting young kids – the universe throws me a nice meaty bone of encouragement. Or two, even.

I am happy to say that this week, I have been bolstered up, and so nicely.

I found out in the space of two days that my culinary tours of Chinatown had received a mention in our national newspaper (!!) AND that I received a spot in the Top 100 Mom Food Blogs at Babble.com! The reason that this excites me more than usual is that I had no idea either thing was coming. A friend told me about my mention in the Globe & Mail, and my nomination for Top 100 had gone unadvertised by me. I did not troll for votes and yet I made it! And went UP about 30 spots!!! Check out the wonderful things Babble says about me here.

Thank you to anyone and everyone who voted for me. Thank you to my cooking class students, who always have such nice things to say about the classes and who keep me going on a week-to-week basis. And thanks to my wonderful blog readers!
